After landing on a German glider field
(thinking it was on the Swiss side), just short of Switzerland. Ended up in KG
200.
9 Jun 44 (MACR 5783) - Mission 56 (Munich) Pilot 1st Lt. Herbert L. Oleson.
Machias Weichalt of Switzerland (in his article) writes: "CHERRY II tries to reach Switzerland via Vorarlberg. Coming from Bludenz it flies over Feldkirch, Dornbirn and circles in the eastern area of the lake of Constance. Apparently the pilot looks out for a safe landing strip.
