Original cadre ship delivered to Bruning, NE 6 Nov 43 and assigned to Zimmerman's crew. This ship was substantially damaged in route overseas during a landing accident 12 Dec 43 in Puerto Rico. The ship was reassigned to the 459th BG and renamed TAMERLANE II, and subsequently lost 17 Mar 44 in Austria.
