Shown with Lt. Cyril Klimesh (Bombardier - Right) on Lt. Alma Mills' B-24 crew at Clark Field, Luzon with two home town friends Sgt. Clarence Herold and Cpl. George Herold. Clarence, a supply sergeant with the 80th Field Artillery, was on leave from the battle line north east of Manila. George, his brother-in-law was in a quarter master unit on Clark. Earlier, the 22nd Bomb Group had bombed Japanese installations located across a valley from Clarence's unit. One of 12 B-24Js listed in he monthly narrative history as being in the squadron 30 Apr 44.
