A participant in the USAAF aviation exhibition held in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower; the aircraft was re-painted as WITCHCRAFT II of 467th BG / 790th BS for the exhibition, but retained its 453rd BG codes & formation markings. Original 453rd BG cadre with RCLs (Q+ / Q- / Q), it was very badly damaged 20 Apr 44 when the tail gunner was killed and the whole tail assembly had to be changed. Last traced in 453rd BG on a practice mission 11 Nov 44 by which time it was war weary.
