Mission 56 (Munich) - After landing on a German glider field (thinking it was on the Swiss side), just short of Switzerland.
Matthias Weichelt of Switzerland (in his article) writes: "CHERRY II tries to reach Switzerland via Vorarlberg. Coming from Bludenz it flies over Feldkirch, Dornbirn and circles in the eastern area of the lake of Constance. Apparently the pilot looks out for a safe landing strip. Since the broad canal of the new Rhine between the Swiss village of St. Margrethen and Bodensee for local unacquainted could be regarded as national border, the glider airfield Rinnsal near Gaissau."
