Research Team Comments: The crew was assigned to the 449th BG and picked up their plane in Topeka, Kansas, which they named BONNIE'S BOYS (42-50307), after the Pilot 2Lt Bernard "Bonnie" Armstrong (Kneeling far left). Note: Sgt Bob Privito (Asst Eng/Nose Gunner - Standing 3rd from right) was replaced by Sgt Carmen L. Gentile (KIA not shown).
