The
MACR (10 KIA/2 POW) is pretty sparse at 4 pages, but there is an
eyewitness account that describes a scene very similar to the photo. Over the
target area, the aircraft was seen to make two sudden turns, nose down, wings
blew off, and ship broke into flaming pieces.
