Crashed April 1944. My Father, S/Sgt Robert Miles Van Nortwick (Waist Gunner - Kneeling Far Right), was aboard PUNJAB (42-72974) when it lost an engine and had to return to base. This is not the crew that was aboard A.W.O.L. when the fire was discovered.
