A photo of the Streigher crew (449th Book III) is captioned "This is the crew from the 718th that flew BOMB BOOGIE. However, from the hard copy formation plans I have, it appears this crew began missions on or about 22 Jun 44. Of the 10 occurrences of this crew name on the formation plans, they flew 8 different a/c, only one of which I cannot identify - #32. If BOMB BOOGIE became this crew's 'assigned' a/c, it would have most likely been well into their tour, after they had enough seniority to lay claim to an a/c. And that runs beyond the time frame for which I currently have hard copies of the formation plans.
