Delivered to Bruning, NE 9 Nov 43 and assigned to Geminder's crew. Originally numbered "33" and renumbered to "48" in early 1944. Nose-Wheel Collapsed 29 Aug 44. Completed 59 missions before her first and only early return, and 87 missions before being downed 22 Nov 44. Hit in the bomb bay by flak over Ferrara, Italy and set on fire with the Ludtke crew aboard. The pilot and top turret gunner were killed, the nose gunner evaded and the remaining 7 became POWs.
