Shot down and crashed in Hungary, 26 Jun 44 (MACR 6446). The Bombardier fell from his chute and was killed on impact. My Uncle, Nick Kish, and the other crew members were captured and became POWs.

Probably the fourth Dopey in the series which extended until the war's end. It was painted by a combat crew man named Jay Garvin who was later KIA and had worked with Amos Nicholson on some of the earlier Snow White nose art.
Garvin painted a complete generation of Dwarfs (all faced aft and had an inclined, yellow name); he may have painted the second Prince Charming and an unknown Snow White. I have poor quality pictures of all seven of Garvin's dwarfs but no serial numbers to go with each name. This DOPEY's crew chief was Lee Bendt who previously was the crew chief of the first two Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Edna Elizabeth aircraft.
