OREN C. BROWN |
Contributor - Philip Davenport
Although my Grandfather, Oren Clifton Brown, was a Radio Operator with the 389th, he did not fly in this aircraft.
Info Contributor - Tom Ensminger
This was the first plane my dad flew a combat mission in. It was inherited by the 801st BG (P) from the 389th BG of Station 179 on the night of 29/30 May, 1944. The Bales crew flew it for their first combat mission on the night of 31 May /1 Jun 44. Transferred to the MTO (late1944) with the 859th BS.
