The picture is many years after its initial discovery. Soon after the discovery, many of the components were taken off for military reasons. Some time later, an oil company came upon it and this picture was taken at that time. My father's pictures show the plane basically in tact, with all of the weapons still on it, etc. One of the cool stories my Dad likes to share is how he actually took a sip of coffee from the thermos of one of the crew.

On her way back from a mission to bomb Naples, Italy, LADY BE GOOD was lost in the Libyan Desert.
The wreckage was found in 1959, by an oil exploration team. All crewmembers perished:

1st Lt William J. Hatton - Pilot
2nd Lt Robert F. Toner - Co-Pilot
2nd Lt Dp Hays - Navigator
2nd Lt John S. Woravka - Bombardier
