Arrived overseas 16 Jun 43. Hit by flak over Messina
14 July 43 and landed in Malta. The damage kept the aircraft from flying the
Ploesti mission on 1 Aug 43. Crash-landed and was abandoned/salvaged in Tunisia
after second detached service to North Africa, Oct 43.
