Shown with "Pappy Hil" (Crew Chief, center) and two of his ground crew. They had kept her going for over seven months until an accident occurred and it was lost on a mission 18 Dec 44. The pilot turned back with the #2 engine out and trying to land, missed the runway. Beginning a right turn, she stalled and one of the bombs exploded, demolishing the plane and killing the crew.
