One of the original B-24s flown to England by 490th BG / 851st BS. It did not fly in combat with that Group. However, it was scheduled to fly or to be a spare on two missions (the first and second on D-Day, 6 Jun 44), its Radio Call Letter (RCL), being +M, but its participation in both was cancelled.
Shortly after 6 Jun 44, it was transferred to 493rd BG / 861st BS.
