Photo was taken at Topeka Kansas, just before we flew overseas via South America (last of Feb 44). Although we were assigned to the 44th BG (506th BS), we transported LYNDY via southern route to England (to the 392nd BG) where she was taken for modification (Apr 44). She may have been painted over or sent somewhere else. We do not know what happened to her. (Note: Crew was KIA or POW on MY EVERLOVIN' GAL (41-28829) when shot down 29 Jun 44.)
