Aloha. I am doing a book on Hawai'i Home front--Life in the Islands During WWII. I came up with a photo of Japanese high school kids who raised $350,000 to donate a B-24 to the military. That would be a lot today for kids, but figure they were baby-sitting and mowing lawns at a quarter an hour, and it's enormous. The info on the back of the photo indicated they had named the plane MADAME PELE As a long shot, I Googled B-24 MADAME PELE, and got your website with the nose art!
