Research Team Comments: Symbolic of deities considered evil by the Japanese, shark teeth were often painted on aircraft, which served with the 14th Air Force in the China-Burma-India (CBI) Theater of Operations. From May 1943 to May 1945, the 374th Bomb Squadron was a heavy bombardment unit which received two Distinguished Unit Citations for combat in the Western Pacific.
