Lost 26 Nov 43 after a mid air collision over
the North Sea. Flew with the 506th BS and was
lost while being flown by a 66th BS crew.

Flown to Ploesti 1 Aug 43 by Maj. James Beam and was transferred to the 66th BS immediately following the Ploesti mission. Pilot of the aircraft when it was lost on 26 Nov 43 was 1/Lt Alexander Trolese. MACR# 1501

Also note: In radio terminology, Americans wanted an actual rating on the volume and clarity of their transmissions. The standard
"Loud and Clear" to an American had to be a "Five by Five" or a
"Three by Three" depending on the reception.
