My Father, George W. Snook, was stationed in Tiebenham, England during WWII and was in the plane when it was hit. They fired at the plane and when it hit, it knocked my Dad's boot off his foot and also took his parachute right out of the huge hole in the picture. The gentleman in the picture was one of my Dad's crew members.
