My Father, Jack C. Shall, was originally with the 389th Bomb Group/565th Bomb
Squadron, then transferred to 491st Bomb Group/853rd Bomb Squadron. He served as
a Ball Turret Gunner and a Tail Gunner while in England. I'm not sure which of
these two positions he was assigned to on the RELUCTANT DRAGON.
