Research Team Comments: Note the hatch type waist. Observations put the enclosed waist at L-10-CO. The Sta. 1.0 cant and the wrap-under bomb scan windows start at L-5-CO. This plane has neither, but does have downward opening nose gear doors. Since Ford enclosed the waists during late H-series production and those were exclusive to the EAME when assigned overseas, the later Ford L or M can be excluded. The bomb scan windows also eliminates the Fords. These are what we refer to casually in the matrix has the horizontal trapezoid. The Fords had a vertically-oriented trapezoid. That leaves the range between J-185 and the L-1 block from San Diego. The serial range is 44-40849 to 41448 ( 600 each). Matrix lines 27 & 34 apply.
