Brittan
Blew the left tire on 16 Apr 45, after rolling about 250 yards, while taking
off from North Pickenham. Left the runway about 235 yards beyond this point and
headed towards dispersal 12. The right landing gear collapsed, approx. 170 yards
form the runway, where the plane came to rest.Assignments:
8 493 863 (A) - Transferred in Aug/Sep 44 to:
8 491 852 (3Q W) - Transferred in Dec 44 to:
8 491 855 (V2 X+) - Emergency landing at Woodbridge where repairs to the
hydraulic system were carried out 4-11 Mar 45 - Transferred to:
