The name was painted on a new B-24H DT (S/N unknown) for Robert L. McKenzie and his crew while they were still at Topeka, Kansas, awaiting posting overseas. In the event, they travelled to Europe by sea and were assigned as a replacement crew to 467th BG / 790th BS, flying their first mission on 24 Jul 44. They never again saw SALLY FORTH which may have gone to the MTO.
