Original 458th BG / 755th BS aircraft
flown to England by Pilot 2nd Lt. Frank W. Herzik in Jan 44. Al Hilborn (Co-Pilot on Crew
#74) said that Herzik named the plane SKI-NOSE because, “this was Herzik’s nickname for his wife who had a rather large, but beautiful nose.”

Transferred from 458th BG (before flying in
combat) to 392nd BG. Its first combat mission in 392nd BG was on 21 Feb 44 and flew 27
missions.
Later, RCL ( K ). Lost 7 Jul 44.
