Lt. Klundt's crew was assigned to this aircraft in Sept. of 1944, on the island of Wakde. I painted the nose art which was only painted on the right side. We flew her to Noemfoor where it was destroyed in a Japanese raid on Morati (crashed on takeoff from Samar 24 Feb 45). The Bombardier and Navigator were killed in the crash, from the following explosion, two minutes later. Pilot Lt. Gerans and the Radio Operator later died of their injuries.
