Port (Left) Side - Color Image - "Tail Shot" - Renamed from GLOBE TROTTER after transfer from 93rd BG
Info Contributor - Tom Ensminger
An ex-93rd BG plane. Plane was flown for 8 missions in May 44 and 8 more in Jun 44. Crashed and burned at Station 179 on 10 Mar 45 after the nose wheel locked on landing.
Info Contributor - Tom Brittan
Photo was taken relatively recently in Norway where COOKIE (42-40549) went down on 7 Apr 45, fitted with a vertical stabilizer which had been salvaged from US EXPRESS (41-23674). The gloss black paint has all gone and the 93rd BG markings have been so "weathered" that you can almost see the original 123764 tail number.
